Cleaning Crews in Japan

Walk into the local city hall or public office and you’ll notice an abundance of cleaning people polishing the floors, railings and bathrooms. It’s surprising at first because it seems that all of the stuff that they’re cleaning is already spick and span.

I always wondered why they wear the clothes that they do. Is all of that protection really necessary?

The next time you’re in a public facility take a minute to notice what the cleaning crew is doing. It’s another weird Japanese thing.
