Roppongi is famous for its nightlife and very popular with the foreigners or “gaijin” for a place to let it all hang out. Shopping at Roppongi Hills is a major attraction as of late. On weekend nights there are lots of black guys from Africa who pretend that they’re from New York trying to get you into the club.
Lots of hookers offer the ‘special massage’ for 4,000 JPY in the streets. The massage isn’t good at all and as soon as they get your pants off the price goes up to 15,000 JPY. Don’t waste your time or money…unless of course that’s what you like to do.
Some well known clubs like “Gaspanic” and “Feria” are worth checking out. Many foreigners have overdosed and died in Roppongi. Violence amongst foreigners is pretty common as well.
The trains stop at 12:00 AM and don’t start again until 5 AM. So if you go to Roppongi you should make travel plans with this in mind.
