Zillions of coffee shops have squeezed in every nook and cranny in Tokyo serving coffee, tea, doughnuts, sandwiches, cake, pie, curry and even draft beer. Coffee places are great for meetings of any sort. When I was an English teacher giving private lessons on the side I used to meet my students at the local coffee shop.
As you can see in the photos below people really make themselves at home at these smokey establishments.
