Beer & Snacks

I decided to sit back and relax tonight instead of heading out to Club Harlem in Shibuya. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to kick back a few brews! So I headed to the convenience store and I bought some cold cans of my favorite beverage - Asahi Super Dry Beer.

To accompany my tasty beverages I decided to pick up a few munchies.

Japanese Snebei

Japanese Senbei - baked rice crackers with a hiint of soy sauce flavor mixed with salted peanuts. Very tasty and goes well with beer.

Almonds & Fish

"Almonds & Fish" - actually a little sweet and, although not as tasty as the senbei, I got down on 'em.

These little buggers got tastier as the night went on. I almost finished the whole bag!

Japanese Shishamo ししゃも

OK, I have to admit, I bought these Shishamo for the blog's sake. I didn't think once about taking a bite of these dried, stanky smelt.

Dried Wrinkly Fish

I've eaten shishamo a million times before at restaurants when they come hot off the grill. But the thought of these fishies being bagged in a convenience store for a long period of time kinda gives me the creeps.

I'd have to drink a lot more than three beers to eat these 7-11 shishamo.
