Hime Gyaru

hime gyaru
Hime Gyaru (princess gal) is another group that falls under this crazy sub culture of Gyaru (gal). These girls are different from any group because they actually want to be sweet girls so they dress up like princesses.

They idolize Marie Antoinette and Paris Hilton and try to look like 21st century European royalty. They strive to be sweet and innocent and dress up to look the part. No tanning booths for these girls, white pale skin and fake eyelashes with loads of mascara are a must!

As for clothing, no black, anything pink, floral and sophisticated but cute is a must. Picture dressing up like a doll with frilly dresses, pink heels and a huge bow to accentuate their doll like hair.

No black? That’s not true. There are a number of black items on hime-gal clothing sites like Jesus Diamante. If the idea of not wearing black automatically means “gothic” in your point of view, then the idea of being elegant should be reinforced in this description of hime-gyaru fashion. Black can be elegant and beautiful, which some wearers and fans of the fashion/lifestyle often strive towards (remember the simplicity and femininity of the “little black dress” ;] ). Other than that, like most cultures based on fashion, the princess gal can choose to blend in her own style without losing the elements of being one.
