Just another slow Friday night. It’s been drizzling all day and not much going on. My friend, retired MMA fighter Kengo (right), went to Tattoo Soul to talk with Akilla (left) about getting a tattoo next week. Tattoos are forever… so we’re lucky to have a good friend like Akilla who we trust to do the job right. After they finished talking we went to a restaurant right around the corner.

This is a new “Scratch-n-Sniff Image” (only if you have a Mac). Can you smell it? This dish was ridiculous. Rice noodles with meat gravy, mushrooms – ooh la la.

I had stir fried eggplant with cabbage and pork in a miso sauce, soup, rice with a raw egg scrambled and poured over top. When you pour the raw egg over the rice it actually kinda cooks inside because the rice is hot… so it’s not like eating a raw egg although it’s still a bit runny. Kengo had the house specialty – Shoga Yaki and Akilla had stir fried with veggies with egg and pork. We shared a couple orders of gyoza. What a feast.

I road my bike home but not before going on a little cruise around town. This bell helps me warn people that I’m coming through. Lately I’ve noticed about 50% of the pedestrians are either reading or typing messages on their phones and not watching where they’re going.

Luckily I sold my car a while ago. Besides the high cost of parking in Tokyo the gas prices are sky high. These prices are per liter!
