Shirasu Don

Enoshima is famous for shirasu which can be eaten raw or cooked. Today, during a short getaway to Shonan Beach, we had cooked shirasu served ‘don-buri’ style (in a large bowl on top of rice), with negitoro, tororo, egg and nori.

It was pretty warm today considering it’s already October. I’m a little sunburned – it feels great to get some color right before winter.
