Japanese Toilet Seats are an amazing creation and quite a step up from traditional Japanese toilets. A modification of the old school bidet, the washlet has a list of new and improved features that will rock your world. A heated seat and warm bidet (for the female too) are just a couple to mention.

Ten years ago washlets were only available in Japan. Nowadays they’re everywhere and TOTO is leading the pack. I’ve done some research and if I had to buy one I’d go with TOTO Washlet. It’s a little pricey but considering the impact it will have on your life…I still say it’s a good buy.

Hadaka Matsuri (Naked Festival)

Hadaka

A hadaka matsuri hadakamatsuri (裸祭り, hadakamatsuri) (literally naked festival) is a type of Japanese festival, or matsuri, where participants wear a minimum amount of clothing; usually just a Japanese loincloth (called fundoshi), sometimes with a short happi coat, and very rarely completely naked.

Whatever the clothing, it is considered to be above vulgar, or everyday, undergarments, and on the level of holy Japanese shrine attire. Naked festivals are held in dozens of places throughout Japan every year, usually in the summer or winter.

Akira Kurosawa

Akira Kurosawa was the best Japanese filmmaker of all-time.

After training as a painter (he storyboards his films as full-scale paintings), Kurosawa entered the film industry in 1936 as an assistant director, making his directorial debut in 1943. After working in a wide range of genres, he made his breakthrough film Rashômon (1950) in 1950. It won the top prize at the Venice Film Festival, and first revealed the richness of Japanese cinema to the West.

World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Cup 2009

In April 2009 the WORLD PROFESSIONAL JIU-JITSU CUP 2009 will be held in Abu Dhabi. The first professional World Cup for Jiu-Jitsu (with GI), with trials in Brazil, Europe, Canada, USA, Australia and Japan. The Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Japan will be organizing the trials in Japan. Which will include all athletes from all Asia.

All the champions from the Trials will win as a prize, flight ticket to Abu Dhabi and expenses covered (hotel and meals) to participate in the World Championship in Abu Dhabi.
