On the west side of the Yamanote tracks, Omoide Yokochō “Memory Lane” is a small alley filled with yakitori joints. The tunnel under the tracks near the entrance of Omoide Yokocho is nicknamed gokiburi yokochō (cockroach lane) or shōben yokochō (piss lane).
