I’m Billy DeCola – a guy from Florida who moved to Japan in 1999 to teach English. I intended on staying for only a few months… I ended up staying much longer- 10 years to be exact. I originally created this blog to share photos and stories of my life in Japan with friends and family.

Much of the content on this blog is related to Japanese Tattoos, Photography, Martial Arts, Culture and Food.

I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to appear on the TLC reality show, “NY Ink,” which was shot at Wooster Street Social Club in NYC. I no longer live in NYC – I currently splits time between Vancouver, BC and my hometown, St. Petersburg, Florida.
