This website is run by Billy, a guy from Florida who moved to Japan in 1999 with intentions of staying for only a few months to teach English. I ended up staying much longer for some reason - 10 years to be exact.

This is my personal blog. Much of the content here is Tokyo related. You can find articles about mixed martial arts, Japanese tattoos, technology, food, nightlife...etc. I hope you enjoy!

about me::

the language:
I'm a native English speaker... but I went to a proper school in Shibuya and studied the Japanese language. I also learned a lot from friends and from watching Japanese television.

the company:
I didn't last long as an English teacher. Although it was fun teaching conversational English to adults, teaching children was not for me! I got outa there quick and eventually became self employed importing & exporting various items such as professional video equipment and electronics. The office is located in Shibuya.

consulting:
I've been doing business in Japan for several years and it's safe to say I'm familiar with Japanese culture and business customs. I've helped companies build Japanese partnerships and I've assisted with numerous negotiations and/or conversations. I am available for hire on a per case basis. photography:
My passion is for photography and motion picture. I shoot with the Canon 5D Mark II and I have a weakness for beautiful glass. I'm available for hire as a still photographer for editorial, portraits, events, artistic and commercial gigs. Contact me with specific details about the project including date(s) and location.
